SA delegation travels to Scandinavia for top business summit

A delegation of top business professionals and government representatives arrived in Oslo this week to attend the 2019 Nordic Africa Business (Naba) Summit which begins today.

Methods of improving business relations between South Africa and Norway will top the agenda.

Small Business Development Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, International Relations and Cooperation Deputy Minister, Alvin Botes, and the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Fikile Majola will attend the event.

The ministers met with heads of state and potential investors focusing on areas of investment, finance, technology, health, ocean economy and agribusiness.

The theme of the 2019 Summit is ‘Better Business Together’ – the cornerstone of a successful working relationship between Africa and Northern Europe.

The Naba Summit aims to expand and strengthen economic ties, primarily focusing on investment into Africa from the Northern European nations. Over 400 delegates from 35 countries will attend the event, with Nigeria and South Africa taking centre stage as Africa’s two biggest economies.
