Angola’s Ministry of Finance, through the General Tax Administration (AGT) and in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce, is gearing up to launch its Single Electronic Window system for foreign trade by 2021.
Funded by China, the electronic platform is expected to reduce customs clearance time and costs and ensure greater security and speed in the processing of customs procedures.
“The Single Electronic Window project is part of an AGT initiative which sets requirements to improve export control, establishes a single IT system for international trade, and imposes appropriate monitoring of the territorial sea and of the coast of the Atlantic Ocean,” explained the Minister of Finance, Archer Mangueira, at a workshop held in Luanda yesterday (Thursday) to discuss implementation of the system.
The workshop was attended by Angolan Minister of the Interior, Angelo da Viegas Tavares, secretaries of state, ministerial technicians and economic operators.
