Traffic delays are currently being experienced on Bayhead Road, Durban, as marchers make their way to Ambrose park as part of the industrial strike by the Revolutionary Transport Union of South Africa (Retusa).

“Currently, at the Port of Durban, the industrial action has had no impact on marine operations and shipping movements are as planned,” a Transnet National Ports Authority spokesperson told FTW Online. “A Joint Command Centre between TNPA, Transnet Port Terminals, Transnet Freight Rail, Transnet Pipelines and Transnet Engineering has been activated to closely monitor the industrial action activity and the emanating risks at the various Transnet sites.”
